ROBERTO

Originally from Southern Italy, Roberto has always been fascinated by the natural world, a passion that has naturally found its way into his tattooing. Over the past three years, he has developed a style inspired by animal anatomy, skeletal structures, and the incredible diversity of life on Earth. His work draws from everything from marine life and wildlife to prehistoric creatures, often taking inspiration from the detailed illustrations found in old natural history books and scientific studies.

His style could best be described as scientific tattooing, combining elements of zoology, biology, anatomy, and palaeontology with contemporary tattooing. Every design is an opportunity to celebrate the beauty, complexity, and history of the animal kingdom, creating pieces that are as educational as they are artistic.

Roberto's love of animals began in the sea. Growing up snorkelling and later becoming a scuba diver, he developed a deep appreciation for marine life that continues to influence much of his work. Travelling is another huge source of inspiration, giving him the chance to experience new landscapes, encounter wildlife, and discover fascinating species from around the world.

His ultimate goal is wonderfully simple: to tattoo every animal on the planet. Whether it's your favourite pet, a prehistoric giant, a deep sea oddity, or an animal with a personal meaning, you'd be helping him tick another species off the list.

For clients who like to bring a little gift, Roberto is incredibly easy to please. Anything animal related will make his day, from books, fossils, and artwork to feathers, skulls, and natural specimens. If anyone happens to have a shark tooth lying around, that would probably make his year.
